Why should we wear underwear?

There has been a long standing debate whether men need to or should wear underwear. It seems that we have grown up wearing underwear, but never really understood why. Undergarments or underwear are defined as clothes worn under other clothes, often next to the skin. They keep outer garments from getting dirty, shape the body and provide support for parts of it. In cold weather, long underwear sometimes is worn to provide additional warmth. Some undergarments are intended for erotic effect. Special types of undergarments have religious significance. Some items or clothing are designed as underwear, while others, such as T-Shirts and certain types of shorts, are appropriate both as undergarments and as outer clothing.

Freeballin. Letting loose. Living Large. Commando. Call it what you want, but opting out of undergarments is never acceptable. Sure, a cool breeze down there would be more than welcome on a sizzling hot summer day. But the risk of raising the flagpole in public is just too high - not to mention the nasties you would be rubbing directly on to your clothing.

The primary reason men opt for commando is that they vow it is more comfortable. However, comfort often lies in what one is used to and with the right fitting and style of underwear the comfort and protection factor is often far better than commando.

Some advantages of wearing underwear:
Hygiene. Put it this way: if you are going commando, your jeans/pants should be washed after every wear. This also means that you should be wearing a fresh pair of underwear each day. Additionally, blue jeans have dyes in them that can cause irritation and other problems. Some doctors believe that the dye can be absorbed into the skin of the testicles and could potentially cause problems. Protection - underwear supports yours parts and can prevent any painful zipper accidents. And last but not least, a fresh pair of nice underwear is enjoyable for your partner. I'm quite positive that your partner would rather you walk around the house with a pair of briefs on rather than completely starkers as you take a seat on the new cream suede couch. Whilst they have many other advantages in the hygiene and protection department, the right pair of underwear can be quite a turn on.

So, next time you think about going commando, just think about the sweat and germs that you will be wearing again when you next put that pair of pants on, the danger your putting your goods in and the look on your partners face as you get up from the couch leaving a butt shaped sweat mark or worse.
